Hotel Cashier Arrested in Pattaya

A Pattaya hotel cashier has been arrested after she allegedly stole a hotel guest’s debit card and spent a Total of 478,959 baht in shopping spree.

Native Thai Mrs Jidapa Thongchan with her foreign husband filed the complaint on December 17th at the Pattaya Police Station. After finding a Honda Car, motorcycle A contract to purchase land and Gold at the apartment of suspect Ms Sukanya Deecaroen, Police made the arrest.

Jidapa told police that they had regularly visited and stayed at the hotel with no previous problems, she said they deposited the key room with the cashier before their departure for her hometown in Surin to visit her family.

After receiving the complaint, Pattaya police checked the footages of the CCTV system of the hotel and they found the suspect entering the two victims’ hotel room.  The police then sought an arrest warrant from the court.

The suspect admitted to the charges and that the money was used to pay off debts.

Police alleged that the suspect had committed similar offence twice but escaped arrest.
